Friday the 13th is generally deemed as a ~spooky~ day. Superstitions present Friday the 13th as an unlucky day when horrible things tend to happen. October, being a rather freaky month as is, brings the extra element of scare this year on what might just be the “unluckiest” day of the year; Friday the 13th of October, 2017.

Though there’s no specific known origin of “Friday the 13th”, some people believe it originated from Christianity. Some affiliate the fear of the “13th” with the Last supper, where 13 people sat around the table, 12 disciples and Jesus Himself. The day after the supper, Friday, is the day Jesus was crucified.

Paraskevidekatriphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th.
